Qualifications
Deshni graduated from Auckland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy in 2002. In addition to this, she gained a certificate in Sports Performance Massage through Auckland University of Technology in 2000.
Experience and Interests
Through her love of travel, Deshni has gained broad-based experience in the field of musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, working in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. While in the UK she gained experience in post-surgical orthopaedic patients to add to her musculoskeletal base.
Deshni has been working at Advantage Healthcare and Physiotherapy since 2009, and through excellent mentorship has developed a keen interest in pooling her skills and knowledge to help complex patients with longer-term rehabilitation needs. In addition to this, she also enjoys sports and occupational related treatment and rehabilitation.
Other Interests
Deshni’s interests include adventure travel and trekking and exploring the far corners of the world. She has also been a competitive swimmer and volleyball player, and she tries to integrate her knowledge from Tai Chi and Yoga into her Physiotherapy practice.
